In a changing world that has begun moving towards what most refer to as a “flexitarian” lifestyle, vegan options have become more mainstream and brands such as Impossible Foods, Beyond Meat and Follow Your Heart have been introduced to the general public via major fast food companies. Because of this, more and more people (even dedicated meat lovers) are finding themselves thinking “Wow, this is really good” and even including “Meatless Mondays” to their dietary schedules because plant-based options are becoming more convenient and delicious.
Gone are the days where the only foods a vegan could choose from was a block of tofu and plain fruits and veggies. Vast varieties of burgers, “chicken” sandwiches, ice cream, "cheese", burritos and other comfort foods that non-vegans feel they would miss have all been converted into plant-based versions that taste exactly the same as their non-vegan counterpart.
That’s where our bakery comes in.
When I became vegan, the transition was not very difficult for me when it came to meat because of all the available vegan replacement options. But after being a professional baker and cake artist in 2 separate bakeries for a number of years, it was difficult finding any vegan desserts that met my standard of quality, which is pretty darn high. They all fell short in satisfying my cravings because it was very obvious that they weren’t the "real thing" and I was always left with the feeling that they could be so much better.
Finally, it clicked – If I can’t find great tasting vegan desserts, then I’ll make them myself.
I took all the knowledge, experience and techniques that I learned while working at the previous bakeries and worked tirelessly for over a year to develop and perfect all the recipes you see on our website today. And let me tell you – they taste EXACTLY like the “real thing".
So close, in fact, that you can bring these desserts to a non-vegan event and no one will know the difference.
(Trust me, I’ve done this many times to test my products out and seeing how shocked they are when I tell them it's vegan never gets old).
The best part? It makes some people say "If this is what vegan food is like, then I could definitely do it." Which is great!
It is my heart’s mission to be able to help contribute to the vegan movement the best way I know how - by providing high quality desserts for the vegan community and BEYOND.
Hopefully, one day, we will end animal cruelty once and for all - together.
